March of harmony brings out in Gaibandha

A march of harmony was brought out in the

town on Friday afternoon with an aim to preserve inter-religious harmony in

the district and demanding to build Sampriti’s Bangladesh.

District unit of Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Welfare Front arranged the

programme so that people of all caste and religions can live in the district

in harmony.

The rally, led by BNP district unit President Dr. Moinul Hasan Sadiq, was

brought out from the Shaheed Minar premises and ended at the same venue after

parading the main roads of the town.

After the rally, a discussion was held with Convener of the front, district

unit, Bipul Kumar Das in the chair while its member secretary Bishnu Kumar

Das moderated the function.

The discussion was addressed, among others, by BNP district unit general

secretary Mahadunnabi Titul, its vice-president Shahiduzzaman Shahid,

Advocate Zahangir Alom Zinnah, leaders of district BNP Amirul Islam Foku,

Morshed Habib Sohel and Mosarrof Hossain.

The speakers said Sheikh Hasina’s governmen
t has crippled the country in the

last 15 years. She was forced to resign and fled the country due to a

student-led mass uprising on August 5, they added.

They hoped that time has come to build a new beautiful Bangladesh side by

side with building harmony among the people of all caste.

The spokesmen also emphasized the need for keeping social harmony among the

people of all caste living in the country.

A large number of leaders and workers of BNP and its associate bodies

participated in the programme.
