Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has distributed Eid gifts among 700 families in need.
The minister today handed over the gifts at a programme held at Monohardi Pilot High School field in Narsingdi, said a press release.
In his speech, Humayun said the government is taking all measures so that all can celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr with joy.
Instead of organising iftar parties, he said, the poor and needy people are being supported in various ways as per instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
