Chief Minister of Karnali Province Rajkumar Sharma is schedule to seek a vote of confidence from the Province Assembly on Wednesday.
The meeting of CPN (Maoist Center) Karnali Provincial Assembly party today decided that Chief Minister Sharma will take a vote of confidence.
Complications have surfaced in the formation of the government in Karnali after an agreement was reached at the federal level to hand over the leadership to CPN-UML. The Maoist Center, which is leading the current provincial government, has objected to the decision.
Chief Whip of the Maoist Center Karnali PA Party Ranasingh Pariyar said that Chief Minister Sharma will take the vote of confidence on Wednesday.
Pariyar said that no work will be done against the agreement reached at the Center but the power will be handed over only after a vote of confidence.
