Two people died this morning when they fell from the top while painting a building of ACME Laboratories Ltd. in Gazaria Upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Md Shahid, 27 and Sobhan, 25. Both were the residents of Shibchar Upazila under Madaripur district.
Police said the incident occurred at around 8:30 am. The workers were rushed to Gazaria Upazila Health Complex, where the duty doctors declared them dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Gazaria Thana Mollah Shoeb said as the workers were painting the building, the rope holding them tore and they fell down.
The bodies were sent to Munshiganj General Hospital for postmortem, he added.
