Kurmitola: The concluding and prize giving ceremony of the four-day 9th Runner President Cup Golf Tournament-2026 was held today at the Kurmitola Golf Club. Chief of Army Staff (CAS) General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the event as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners of the tournament.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan and Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan participated in the ceremony as special guests. The event was also attended by senior military officials, invited guests, and Golf Club members. During the ceremony, the CAS expressed gratitude to the organizers for arranging the tournament and emphasized the importance of such competitive events in developing golf in the country.
The tournament saw participation from a total of 815 players, both domestic and international. Jadid Ekram Ikhwan emerged as the overall winner, with Md Sakib Rahman as the runner-up, and Mi-Yu-Hi Kim claiming the title of Ladies Winner.
