Dhaka: The seventh round of the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL), the nation’s second-tier professional football competition, is set to commence tomorrow (Sunday) after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, featuring three matches scheduled at various venues in the capital and its neighboring areas.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Arambagh Krira Sangha will play against PWD Sports Club at the Bashundhara Kings Arena practice ground in the capital. Meanwhile, Little Friends Club is set to face Uttar Baridhara Club at the Fortis ground, and Dhaka Rangers Football Club will meet BFF Elite Football Academy at the Shaheed Batkat Stadium in Gazipur. All matches are scheduled to kick off at 2:45 pm.
The remaining matches of the seventh round will take place on Monday. City Club is scheduled to play against Wari Club at the Bashundhara Kings Arena practice ground, while BRTC Sports Club will go up against Farashganj Sporting Club at the Fortis Ground.
Arambagh Krira Sangha currently leads the league with 18 points following the sixth round, with PWD close behind with 13 points. Little Friends Club is in seventh place with five points, and Uttar Baridhara Club is at the bottom of the table with two points. BFF Elite Football Academy holds the third position with 11 points, while Dhaka Rangers Club is in fifth place with eight points.
City Club is positioned fourth in the league with nine points, and Wari Club is in ninth place with four points. BRTC Sports Club stands in seventh place with six points, and Farashganj Sporting Club is in eighth place with five points.
