75 students including intern doctors expelled from CMC

The authorities of Chattogram Medical College

(CMC) have expelled 75 students including 14 intern doctors for different

terms on charges of engaging in activities that violate institutional

disciplines.

Additionally, 11 more students have been released from the charges after

providing a written agreement.

The decision was taken in an academic council meeting on Monday.

Of the expelled, seven students were expelled for two years, 15 for one year

and six months, 39 for one year and 14 students were expelled for six months,

Dr. Jasim Uddin, principal of the CMC, confirmed.

Earlier, the college authorities expelled seven students on March 16 last

year for the allegation of beating other students in the hostel.
