Dhaka: Police have arrested 72 people in a special drive across several crime-prone areas under the Tejgaon division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were made during regular operations conducted on Saturday, as stated in a DMP press release. Among those arrested, seven were apprehended in Tejgaon, nine in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 31 in Mohammadpur, four in Adabor, five in Tejgaon Industrial Area, and 16 in Hatirjheel. Police reported that the suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities and were subsequently sent to court.
