Meherpur: A total of 70,194 children under the age of five are scheduled to receive vitamin A-plus capsules on March 15 in Meherpur district as part of the national vitamin A-plus campaign. The initiative will take place across 906 centers within the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign will administer blue-colored high-powered vitamin A capsules to children aged between 6 months and 11 months, while red-colored capsules will be provided to those aged between 11 and 59 months. This was announced by Dr. Injamul Haque, a medical officer at the civil surgeon’s office, during a press conference held at the district civil surgeon’s office today.
The campaign aims to improve the nutritional health of young children in the area. Civil Surgeon Dr. AKM Abu Sayeed presided over the press conference, highlighting the importance of the campaign for the well-being of the children in the district.
