Rajshahi: Family members of deceased and injured individuals from road accidents have received financial support totaling Taka 32 lakh for their welfare. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each of the six deceased victims' families was provided with Taka five lakh, while each injured person received Taka one lakh. The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), on behalf of its Trustee Board, distributed the bank cheques during a ceremony held at the office conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Rajshahi. DC Afia Akhter and BRTA Assistant Director Abdur Rashid were present to hand over the cheques to the recipients. The event was attended by several local officials, including Additional District Magistrate Mirza Imam, Additional Superintendent of Police Ashraful Islam, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Sayeed Muhammad Faruque. The financial support aims to aid the families affected by road accidents in managing their immediate needs and welfare.
