Chattogram: Police arrested seven alleged members of a dacoit gang who were preparing for a robbery in the city’s Mariners Road under Kotwali police station area around 2 am on Wednesday. The arrested individuals are Abdul Aziz (26), Md. Arif Hossain (30), Md. Nayan Mia (22), Md. Samir (20), Md. Shahidul Islam (45), also known as Shahid, Md. Shahin (20), and Md. Yasin Hossain (20).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, Md. Aftab Uddin, confirmed the arrests and the ongoing investigation. The police intercepted the group based on a tip-off regarding their plans to commit a robbery in the Mariners Road area. The authorities are currently questioning the suspects to gather more information about their activities and any potential accomplices.
