7 Missing Students Rescued from Banshkhali Deep Hills

Chattogram: Chattogram district police rescued seven primary school students after they remained missing for 12 hours while travelling to Banshkhali hills. All of them are students of class five at the Model Government Primary School in the upazila. OC Saiful Islam of Banshkhali police station confirmed the matter on Saturday.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the students were rescued at 5 am from the Dhuilajhiri hilly area near Amena Park with the assistance of police and locals. The rescued students are Mahtab Manjur, Abrar Uddin Ishraf, Akhteruzzaman, Kishore Das, Al-Zawahri, Md. Jinan, and Md. Sayed.



Local sources reported that the seven students went for a walk in Amena Park on Friday afternoon. As evening approached, they lost their way and had to spend the night in the forest. Chemon Ara, a guardian, mentioned that they went missing while playing in the jungle yesterday afternoon. A general diary was lodged with the police station that night, and police conducted an overnight operation and rescued them this morning.



Banshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Jamshedul Alam confirmed that the seven missing students were rescued with joint efforts. They had safely returned and reunited with their families.
