Dhaka: RFL-ACI 6th Bangladesh International Squash Open 2025 is scheduled to take place at Dhaka cantonment and the IUB Squash complex in the capital from July 26 to 30. Four South Asian countries, namely Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and host Bangladesh, will compete in this professional international meet organized by the Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation (BSRF).

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BSRF General Secretary Brigadier General (retired) G M Quamrul Islam stated that professional squash players from the participating South Asian countries are expected to take part in the tournament. The event will feature separate competitions for boys and girls, with the aim of providing an international standard playing environment for the athletes as they prepare for the upcoming South Asian Games.

The men’s tournament is classified as a “PSA Challenge Tour-3” level event, whereas the women’s tournament will be a “WSF Satellite Tournament”. Brigadier General Quamrul mentioned that nine men and thirteen women’s players are currently in training camp for the tournament. However, the number of players in both the men’s and women’s categories will be reduced to four members at a later stage.

He expressed that the tournament would serve as an ideal platform for the players’ preparation for the South Asian Games. Notably, the Bangladesh women’s squash team is set to participate for the first time in the history of Bangladesh squash at the upcoming South Asian Games, alongside the men’s team.
