Barishal: A total of 68 more dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, of the newly hospitalized patients, 38 were reported from Barishal Division (outside city corporation), six from Chattogram Division, three from Dhaka Division (outside city corporation), three from Dhaka North City Corporation, 11 from Dhaka South City Corporation, two from Mymensingh Division, three from Rajshahi Division, and two from Sylhet Division.
During the same period, 65 dengue patients were released from hospitals after recovery, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 3,607. The total number of dengue cases recorded so far this year has reached 3,844. Of the total cases, 63.2 percent are male and 36.8 percent are female.
The death toll from the mosquito-borne disease remained unchanged at six this year as no new fatalities were reported during the past 24 hours. The DGHS data showed that a total of 102,861 dengue cases and 413 deaths were recorded in the country in 2025. In 2024, the country reported 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths from the disease.
