Cumilla: The Cumilla Education Board has recorded a 65.42 percent pass rate in the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 145,835 candidates appeared in the 2026 SSC examination under the Cumilla Education Board. Of them, 95,399 passed, drawing a rate of 65.42 percent.
Among the passed students, 9,814 secured GPA-5 or A+, showcasing a commendable academic performance. The results statistics revealed that students performed comparatively better in the science group. The pass rate in the science group was 82.88 percent, while it was 50.61 percent in the humanities group and 57.40 percent in the business studies group within the board.
Additionally, girls outperformed boys in terms of GPA-5 results. Of the total 9,814 students who achieved GPA-5, 5,848 were girls, compared to 3,966 boys. This year, students from 1,823 educational institutions across six districts, including Comilla, participated in the SSC examination under the Cumilla Education Board.
The results of the SSC and equivalent examinations were formally announced at the Comilla Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conference room this morning. Board Controller of Examinations Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam announced the results. Comilla Education Board Secretary Professor Mohammad Jahangir Alam, College Inspector Professor Md. Shipon Mia, and other relevant officials were present at the result publication ceremony.
