62 Police Personnel Honored with BPM and PPM Awards

Dhaka: A total of 62 police personnel have been recognized with the prestigious Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and President’s Police Medal (PPM) for their exemplary service, acts of bravery, and courage. The awards ceremony took place today during the inauguration of “Police Week-2025,” led by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the awards were distributed across four distinct categories. The official data reveals that 15 police personnel received the BPM for gallantry, while 13 were honored with the BPM for their service contributions. Moreover, 13 individuals were awarded the PPM for acts of bravery, and 21 were recognized for their distinguished service with the PPM.



The Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and the President’s Police Medal (PPM) stand as the highest honors bestowed upon police personnel in Bangladesh, acknowledging their distinguished service and bravery. The recipients of the BPM medals included former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Moinul Islam, Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) AKM Shahidur Rahman, and several other prominent officers from various police departments across the nation.
