Bogura: Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive recovered 6,000 kg of banned polythene from a godown in Kalitala area of the district town last night. Police also arrested manager of the godown Rafiqul Islam, 39, a resident of Nataipara area of Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, on information, a team of DB police conducted a drive at the godown adjacent to Bhandari Pipe Factory and seized the polythene. Officer-in-Charge of the district DB police Iqbal Bahar confirmed the seizure.
A case was filed in connection with the recovery of the banned polythene.
