Dhaka: Fifty-nine individuals involved in crimes have been arrested during special operations conducted in various areas under the Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The arrests were part of targeted raids aimed at reducing criminal activities in the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a DMP press release stated that the arrests occurred during raids on Friday in several crime-prone areas within the Tejgaon Division. The operations were carried out by different police stations in the division to tackle the prevalence of crime.
The release detailed that Mohammadpur Police Station arrested 21 individuals, Tejgaon Police Station apprehended 14, and Adabor Police Station detained 11 suspects. Additionally, Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station arrested five people, while Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station and Hatirjheel Police Station arrested four individuals each.
