Rajshahi: Rajshahi Education Board has secured a 59.40 percent pass rate in the HSC examinations this year. A total of 10,137 students, including 5,682 girls, attained a GPA-5 among the successful candidates.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the board authority announced the results at a press conference held in its conference hall. Board Chairman Prof Mofakkharul Islam provided an overview of the outcomes, revealing that 1,30,987 students, including 63,317 girls, sat for the examinations across 207 centers from 730 educational institutions in eight districts under the education board.
This year, girls outperformed boys in both the overall pass rate and in achieving GPA-5. Specifically, 68.69 percent of girls passed the exams compared to 50.69 percent of boys, with 5,682 girls securing GPA-5 against 4,455 boys. Notably, there were no successful candidates from 35 colleges under the board this year.
