Rajshahi: The ‘B’ Unit admission test for the first-year undergraduate (honours) programme of the 2025-26 academic session at Rajshahi University (RU) was conducted smoothly today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the B Unit comprises six departments under the Faculty of Business Studies and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). A total of 30,886 candidates applied for the 564 available seats, resulting in 55 candidates competing for each seat.
During a press conference held at the university’s Rabindranath Tagore Academic Building, Vice-Chancellor Saleh Hasan Naqib announced, “This year’s admission test has been held simultaneously not only at Rajshahi University but also at Dhaka University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University, Khulna University, Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, and, for the first time, Barisal University.”
The Vice-Chancellor further stated, “We visited several examination halls. We estimate that the attendance at this centre was around 90 percent. So far, no untoward incidents have occurred. We have also not received any reports of untoward incidents from other centres across the country. Today’s examination was held in a single shift.”
