Chattogram: A ship named MV PERTH, carrying 52,500 metric tonnes of wheat from Russia, has reached the outer anchorage of Kutubdia in Chattogram. This shipment is part of a cash purchase contract that was signed on July 7 this year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, sampling and testing of the wheat stored on the ship have already been completed. Necessary measures have been undertaken to ensure the swift unloading of the cargo. Out of the total wheat shipment, 31,500 metric tonnes are set to be unloaded at Chattogram, while the remaining 21,000 metric tonnes will be discharged at Mongla port.
