Dhaka: A total of 51 people were arrested in a regular anti-crime drive conducted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in crime-prone areas under its Motijheel division.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the drive was conducted on Tuesday, as per a DMP press release issued today. The arrests were made across several police stations within the division.
Of the arrestees, four were held by Motijheel Police Station, 17 by Paltan Police Station, four by Sabujbagh Police Station, nine by Khilgaon Police Station, five by Rampura Police Station, nine by Shahjahanpur Police Station, and three by Mugda Police Station. Legal action against the arrested individuals is currently underway.
