500 Distressed Individuals Receive Food Aid from GCCI on Eid

Gaibandha: A total of 500 distressed individuals from Gaibandha town and its surrounding areas received food items from the Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) today in celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, GCCI organized a food distribution ceremony aimed at aiding distressed people during Eid-ul-Azha, the most significant religious festival for Muslims. The event was designed to help the recipients celebrate the festival in peace and joy.

The distribution ceremony took place on the grounds of Zila stadium in the town, with Sameul Sumel, the president of GCCI, presiding over the event. Professor Dr. Mainul Hasan Sadik, president of the BNP district unit, attended as the chief guest and formally distributed the food materials.

In his speech, Dr. Mainul Hasan Sadik expressed gratitude towards GCCI for their initiative to support the distressed individuals with essential food items, ensuring that they could observe Eid-ul-Azha peacefully. The event was also attended by directors of GCCI, who contributed to the distribution efforts.

Each beneficiary received a sack containing essential food items such as flour, sugar, pulses, rice for polao, and soybean oil, aiming to provide them with necessary resources for the festive occasion.
