5 Lakh Saplings to Be Distributed in Lalmonirhat in a Week: Dulu

Lalmonirhat: Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has announced that five lakh saplings will be distributed in Lalmonirhat over the next week as part of this year’s five-crore sapling distribution programme.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister emphasized that the initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s election manifesto, which includes a programme to plant 25 crore trees. He made these remarks while distributing saplings to students at the ‘Hamar Bari’ office in the Mission Mour area of Lalmonirhat district town, marking the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).



The minister highlighted the historical context in which Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman founded the BNP, mentioning his vision to make Bangladesh green. He urged everyone to contribute to the government’s plan of planting 25 crore trees across the country within five years.



The event was attended by Lalmonirhat District Council Administrator AKM Mominul Haque, District Jubo Dal Convener Anisur Rahman Anis, Swechchasebak Dal Convener Mithun Sarkar Mithu, and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations.



Later, Minister Dulu participated in a rally at the Lalmonirhat Railway Workers’ Party office and attended a discussion meeting and cultural programme as the chief guest to commemorate the founding anniversary of BNP.
