Pirgachha: Pirgachha police in separate raids recovered three stolen motorcycles and arrested five members of a motorcycle theft gang in different areas of the district on Friday night. Pirgachha police station officer-in-charge (OC) Noor Alam Siddiqui confirmed the matter to BSS on Saturday afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, OC Noor Alam Siddiqui stated, “On a tip-off, we conducted raids at different areas of the district on Friday night, recovered three stolen motorcycles and arrested five members of the gang of thieves on charges of being involved in the thefts.”
The arrested individuals were identified as Abdul Monnaf, 34, and Hashem Ali, 35, from village Satvita in Pirgachha upazila of Rangpur, and Mamun Mia, 30, Badsha Mia, 30, and Shahidul Islam, 30, from different villages in Gaibandha district.
The OC has urged the rightful owners to contact Pirgachha police station SI Shafiqul Islam Akand with the necessary documents to reclaim their stolen motorcycles.
