Chattogram: At least five Dhaka-bound flights, including two on international routes, had to be diverted to Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport due to the adverse weather conditions on Wednesday evening.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) stated that the affected flights include three operated by US-Bangla Airlines. These flights were on the Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka, Singapore-Dhaka, and Mal© (Maldives)-Dhaka routes.

Additionally, a Novoair flight on the Saidpur-Dhaka route was also redirected to Chattogram. In a similar situation, an Air Astra flight operating on the Chattogram-Dhaka route was compelled to return to Chattogram due to the persistent weather issues.

The CAAB indicated that the flights are expected to resume their journeys to Dhaka once the weather conditions improve. Passengers on these flights are advised to stay updated with their respective airlines for further information on their travel plans.
