Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 40 individuals identified as destabilizers, planners, or collaborators responsible for creating an unstable situation in the port city. Several teams of the CMP conducted the operations over the last 24 hours, concluding at 12:30 am today, leading to these arrests.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police claimed that those detained were attempting to create instability across the country. The individuals have been implicated in several cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act for their involvement in attacks and other criminal activities during the student-led mass uprising.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and PR) Mahmuda Akter of the CMP confirmed the arrests to BSS.
