4 RU Rover Scouts Embark on 150-Km Journey to Hili Land Port

Four Rover Scouts from the Rajshahi University (RU) Rover Scout Group have set out from the university campus on a 150-kilometre journey to Hili Land Port. The participants in the expedition are S M Alfaz Ali Nayan, Rashidul Islam, Taziur Rahman Taj, and Proshanto Sarkar.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the five-day journey commenced on Thursday, with Professor Md Rezaul Karim, Secretary of the Rover Scout Group Council, meeting the participants to brief them on the goals and objectives of the expedition. Also in attendance were Saifuddin, General Secretary of the 45th Unit Council of the RU Rover Scout Group, Md Rintu, General Secretary of the 46th Unit Council, and other Rover Scouts.

The expedition is being undertaken to earn the Rambling Badge, a requirement for the highest honor in Rover Scouting, the President’s Rover Scout Award. During their journey from Rajshahi to Hili Land Port via Naogaon, the participants aim to raise so
cial awareness with four key slogans: “Not war, peace is the path of humanity,” “If nature survives, life survives-this is the Rover Scout’s call,” “Stop wasting water, gas, and electricity,” and “Build a drug-free life.”

In addition to spreading these messages, the scouts will visit important landmarks, educational institutions, and key government and private offices. They will also pay courtesy calls on distinguished individuals along their route.
