Dhaka: Police on Sunday rescued four children missing from Sylhet from a hotel in the capital city. The rescued children are: Tanim Ahmed (12), Abdul Hakim (12), Tamim (12), and Suhin Mia (13).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation was initiated following a request from the Airport Police Station of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP). A team from Shahjahanpur Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a raid on a hotel in Railway Colony at approximately 05:30 pm, successfully locating and rescuing the children.
The children reported that they lost their way after taking a train from Sylhet to Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station. Subsequently, they had been working as hotel boys in the hotel for the past six days.
After the rescue operation, the children were handed over to the Airport Police Station of SMP. This was done to ensure their safety and to facilitate their return to their real guardians.
