4 Arrested with Drugs in Rangpur, Nilphamari, and Lalmonirhat

Rangpur: In the last 24 hours, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has conducted separate operations leading to the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and the arrest of four individuals in the Rangpur, Nilphamari, and Lalmonirhat districts.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seized drugs included 258 pieces of Yaba tablets and 164 bottles of phensedyl-like ESkuf syrup. A press release from RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami confirmed this development.

On a tip-off, a RAB-13 team from Rangpur seized 258 pieces of Yaba tablets and arrested Md Sohel, 43, from Cumilla, and Fuad Hossain, 39, from Sadar upazila in Rangpur. The arrests took place in Islampur village under Mithapukur police station of Rangpur district.

Another operation by RAB-13 from Nilphamari Camp resulted in the arrest of Md Belal Hossain, 41, from village Dhaijan Putimari. He was found with 18 bottles of ESkuf syrup in Uttar Bherveri village under Kishoreganj police station of Nilphamari district.

In a separate operation, a RAB-13 team from Rangpur arrested Md Moniruzzaman, 23, from Khamarbhati village under Kaliganj police station of Lalmonirhat district with 147 bottles of illegal ESkuf syrup.

Following the arrests, RAB-13 filed three separate cases and handed over the individuals and the seized drugs to the respective police stations in Mithapukur, Kishoreganj, and Kaliganj for further legal proceedings.
