Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 39.6 percent reaching US$1,346 million in the 12 days of November, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $964 million.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the July to November 12, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $11,495 million, which was $9,902 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year. This significant increase highlights the growing contribution of remittances to the country’s economy, as overseas workers continue to play a crucial role in supporting their families and communities back home.
