38.6% Growth in Remittance Inflow Till November 5

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 38.6 percent, reaching US$584 million in the first five days of November, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $421 million.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to November 5, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances totaling $10,733 million. This figure marks an increase from the $9,359 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year.



The data reflects a significant upsurge in the remittance inflow, illustrating the crucial role of expatriates in bolstering the country’s economy. The increase also highlights the growing trust of expatriates in the country’s financial system and the strategic measures implemented to facilitate easier remittance transactions.



Bangladesh Bank continues to monitor the trends in remittance inflows closely, as these funds are vital for sustaining economic stability and supporting the livelihoods of many families across the nation. The continued growth in remittances is seen as a positive indicator of economic resilience amidst global financial challenges.
