Dhaka: Health officials today said they recorded 367 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours with most patients reporting in health facilities in southwestern Barishal region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 54 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 79 in Chattogram division, 108 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 67 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and 29 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas. Additionally, three cases were reported in Mymensingh division and 27 in Rajshahi division, as stated by a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh has witnessed 118 deaths while the disease has inflicted a total of 29,944 individuals this year. The previous year, dengue claimed 575 lives and affected 101,214 people across the country.
