35,000 Rajshahi Residents to Travel to Dhaka for Tarique Rahman’s Return

Rajshahi: Around 35,000 BNP leaders and workers are planning to travel to Dhaka from Rajshahi to witness the return of BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. They are preparing to make their way to the capital via train, bus, microbus, and car for the occasion.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, railway office sources have informed that four special trains with a carrying capacity of approximately 3,000 passengers will operate under the west zone railway from December 25. These trains include Panchagarh-Dhaka, Chatmohar-Dhaka, Jessore-Dhaka, and Khulna-Dhaka services. Additionally, extra bogies will be added to different trains running on these routes to accommodate the influx of travelers.



Rajshahi city president of BNP, Mamunur Rashid, stated that between 35,000 and 37,000 leaders and workers are expected to travel to Dhaka from Rajshahi, with bus arrangements made on a party basis. District BNP Convener Abu Sayeed Chand also mentioned that around 4,000 to 5,000 leaders and workers would depart for Dhaka from his Rajshahi-6 (Charghat-Bagha) constituency.
