Dhaka: Thirty-five dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, eight patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 11 in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North, seven in Dhaka South, one in Mymensingh, and two were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 2,524, with 19 deaths reported this year due to the disease. In the last 24 hours, 42 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals.
The press release further highlighted that last year, the total number of dengue cases reached 1,01,214, with 575 deaths, indicating a significant public health challenge.
