Dhaka: The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested 34 more leaders and activists of the activities-banned Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital in the last 24 hours. They were detained for their alleged involvement in planning, financing, and participating in the so-called flash processions in the capital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were made during overnight drives in different areas of Dhaka as part of an ongoing operation against groups accused of attempting to disrupt public order. The DB officials have been actively pursuing individuals linked to these activities, aiming to maintain peace and stability in the capital city.
The operations have been intensified following reports of organized efforts to undermine law and order through sudden processions that could potentially lead to chaos.
