32 govt officers, staff engaged to share cyclone information, says ministry

Thirty-two officers and staff of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief have been engaged to share information about Cyclone Sitrang heading toward Bangladesh.

 

An office order was issued in this regard on Monday.

 

It said, to deal with the possible disastrous situation after Cyclone Sitrang hits the country, the officers and employees of the Ministry have been instructed to perform their duties at the National Disaster Response Coordination CentRE (NDRCC) of the Ministry according to the specified date and time to maintain constant communication and provide information with the cyclone-affected districts.

 

They will perform their duty till 12 pm on October 26, said the notice.

 

Meanwhile, the officers and employees of NDRCC will perform their duties as before.
