30 Injured in Habiganj Clash Over Previous Enmity

Habiganj: At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups over previous enmity in Lakhai upazila of the district today. The injured were sent to Lakhai Upazila Health Complex.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the clash erupted around 9:30 am between the people of Milon Mia of Dairul village and Touhid Miah of neighboring Maijhati village. Bande Ali Miah, Officer-in-Charge of Lakhai Police Station, confirmed that the confrontation was due to longstanding animosity between the two groups.

Police were informed of the incident and quickly responded to bring the situation under control. Despite the intervention, a tense atmosphere remains between the two sides. To prevent further conflict, police have been deployed at the scene, according to the Officer-in-Charge.
