Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 30 leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League, and the banned Chhatra League from different parts of the city in the last 24 hours ending on Wednesday night. The arrests were part of an ongoing effort to maintain order in the city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the leaders and activists were arrested on charges related to attempts to create unrest and for launching attacks on protesters during the student-led July uprising. They were also accused in various cases linked to their involvement in criminal activities, as reported by CMP sources. These actions are part of a broader initiative by the authorities to curb activities that could destabilize the region.
