Lalmonirhat: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has seized 132 bottles of phensedyl-like Fairdyl syrup and arrested three women from the Sirajul Market Road area under Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat district. On a tip-off, a smart team of the RAB-13 from Rangpur conducted a raid and apprehended the suspects at 4:15 pm on Sunday afternoon, as stated in a press release signed by RAB-13’s Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals have been identified as Rupali, 43, from village Akkelpur under Akkelpur police station, Momena Khatun, 49, from village Chechra under Panchbibi police station of Joypurhat, and Smriti Akhter, 24, from village Sapmara under Gobindaganj police station of Gaibandha. After filing a case related to this incident, the elite force handed over the arrested women and the seized drugs to Kaliganj police station of Lalmonirhat for further legal action.
