Meherpur: A three-day 46th National Science and Technology Week and Science Fair commenced on the premises of Meherpur Kabi Nazrul Shiksha Manzil. Deputy Commissioner Sifat Mehnaz inaugurated the fair in her capacity as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inaugural event featured a welcome speech delivered by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Tajwar Akram Sakapi Ibne Sajjad. The ceremony also included speeches from Meherpur Government College Principal Professor Dr. AKM Nazrul Kabir, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Khairul Islam, District Education Officer Hazrat Ali, and Kabi Nazrul Shiksha Manzil Headmaster Sanjida Islam. District Administration Assistant Commissioner Nasrin Sultana was responsible for conducting the event.
The fair ground hosts a total of 23 stalls, divided into two groups. In the senior group, exhibitors include institutions such as Meherpur Government College, Meherpur Government Women's College, Adarsh Women's College Mujibnagar, Gangni Government Degree College, Mujibnagar Government Degree College, Sandhani School and College, Meherpur Government Technical School and College, and Mujibnagar Government Technical School and College.
The junior group features participants from Meherpur Government Boys' High School, Meherpur Government Girls' High School, Meherpur Genius Laboratory School and College, Sandhani School and College, Sahebnagar Secondary School, Garadob Secondary School, Gangni Pilot School and College, JBC Science Club, Shibpur Adarsh Secondary School, Mujibnagar Government Secondary School, Mahajanpur Secondary School, FTP Power, Green People, and Meherpur Science and Technology Club.
