3-Day International Photography Exhibition Begins at Khulna University

Khulna: A three-day international photography exhibition titled ‘Engaging the Exposure Season-4’ began at the Khulna University campus this evening. The exhibition was inaugurated by Pro-Vice Chancellor of Khulna University, Professor Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan, who served as the chief guest and marked the occasion by cutting a ribbon at the courtyard of the university’s Fine Arts School around 5:30 pm.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the inaugural function, Professor Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan emphasized that photographs are not merely images but carry artistic expressions and messages requiring aesthetic insight for proper understanding. He highlighted that artwork can express thoughts and emotions that are often difficult to convey through language, and stressed the importance of encouraging creative initiatives among students. The Pro-Vice Chancellor expressed hope that young photographers from both home and abroad would continue to advance through creative practices.



Dr. Gazi Mizanur Rahman addressed the program as a special guest, while the President of the Khulna University Photography Society, Sakhawat Hossain, delivered the welcome speech. The event was attended by notable figures including the Head of the Drawing and Painting Discipline, Dr. Md. Tariqat Islam, Associate Professor Mohammad Nazrul Islam, and organizing committee general secretary Minhaj Rahman, along with teachers, students, officers, and employees.



Following the inauguration, the chief guest visited the exhibition, which features a total of 40 photographs selected from 3,654 submissions sent by students from various universities and colleges both locally and internationally. The exhibition is open to the public at the Fine Arts School premises and will continue for three days.
