3-day BUP national research project contest ends

Three day 'National Research Workshop' and 'Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) National Research Project Contest 3.0, 2024' concluded today following a closing ceremony on the university campus at Mirpur Cantonment in the city. BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam addressed the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners, said a press release here. Under the supervision of BUP English Department, the Research Society of the university organized the events from May 10 to 12 with a view to enhancing students' skills to carryout research activities. The three-day long workshop and the research project contest focused on research processes, research methodologies, techniques and tools, writing of research article, and research publication. Professor of Dhaka University (DU) Institute of Education and Research (IER) Dr Mariam Begum, Professor of Daffodil International University (DIU) English Department Dr Shamsul Hoque and Associate Pr ofessor of DU Bangla Department Dr Md Abdus Sobhan Talukder presented keynote papers at different session during the events. The research project contest drew 88 research papers from 31 universities across the country. The research team of BUP International Relations Department became champion in the contest. Research teams from DU and Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) jointly secured the first runner-up position while Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) became the second runner-up.
