DHAKA, Three buses were set on fire by unidentified miscreants in the city’s Mirpur area this evening, on the eve of a 48-hour blockade imposed by BNP-Jamaat.
Two buses of Manarat International University were set on fire in Mirpur’s Beribad area at 8:25pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Cell official Talha Bin Zasim told BSS.
Two fire engines of Kalyanpur Fire Station went to Nababer Bagh Uttarpara at 8:45pm and doused the blaze, he said.
Later, a double-decker BRTC bus was set on fire in Mirpur 10 area around 9:28pm, Zasim said, adding that one fire engine of Mirpur Fire Station went to the spot at 9:30pm and extinguished the fire.
