Lalmonirhat: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two separate raids seized large quantities of various drugs and arrested three presumed drug dealers from different places in the Lalmonirhat district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seized drugs include 39 bottles of Phensidyl, four kilograms of ganja, 96 bottles of Eskuf, and 100 bottles of a phensidyl-like drug called CHOCO. Additionally, two motorcycles were seized during the operations, as stated in a press release issued in the evening.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from RAB-13's Rangpur Sadar Company conducted a raid at Purbo Kadma village under Hatibandha police station, resulting in the seizure of 39 bottles of Phensidyl and four kilograms of ganja. The raid took place at 1:50 pm on Friday, leading to the arrest of Md Aminur Islam, 40, son of Md Rabiul Islam, from the same village.
In another operation, a team from RAB-13's Sadar Company seized 100 bottles of the phensidyl-like drug CHOCO, 96 bottles of Eskuf, and two motorcycles. This raid was conducted in Chandrapur under Kaliganj police station at 6 pm on Friday. The arrested individuals were identified as Md Ruhul Amin, 22, son of late Mujibar Rahman from village Khamarbhati, and Kausar Islam, 21, son of Meher Ali from village Chandrapur under Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat district.
The seized drugs and arrested individuals have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal action.
