282 Measles Cases Confirmed in 24 Hours: DGHS

Kathmandu: Directorate General of Health Services Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today reported 282 confirmed measles cases and 1,212 suspected cases across the country in the last 24 hours.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the data were recorded from Thursday 8:00am to Friday 8:00am. The health directorate revealed that since March 15, a total of 32,862 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide. Out of these, 29,152 patients have successfully recovered and returned home after receiving treatment.



The DGHS reported that during the past 24 hours, one person succumbed to a confirmed measles infection, while six others with suspected measles symptoms also died. Since March 15, there have been 58 deaths from confirmed measles, and 285 suspected measles patients have died during the same period, according to the DGHS.
