Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 28.6 percent, reaching US$2,441 million in the first 25 days of November, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,897 million. This significant increase in remittances indicates a robust performance by expatriates in sending money back home.
During the period from July to November 25, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances totaling $12,590 million. This figure marks an increase from $10,835 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year, showcasing a substantial rise in the financial contributions made by overseas workers.
