Dhaka:A court has ordered 27 individuals to be jailed after they were arrested at the office of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam issued the order after police presented the detainees in court, requesting their detention under Section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The individuals, including Md Dinarul Alam Tuhin, Iman Ahmed Emon, and Molla Mohammad Shahjahan Siraj, were apprehended following an incident where they were reportedly causing a disorderly situation by chanting slogans inside the Jasad central office on September 26.
The police stated in their plea that the detainees could not provide a satisfactory explanation for their presence at the location. The authorities expressed a preliminary suspicion that the individuals might be involved in a cognizable offense, which led to their detention under the legal provision mentioned.
