Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 27.9 percent, reaching US$2,349 million in the first 24 days of November, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank (BB).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the remittance inflow last year during the same period was $1,837 million. This significant increase highlights the growing contribution of expatriates to the national economy.
In the fiscal period from July to November 24, 2025, expatriates sent remittances totaling $12,498 million. This marks a substantial rise from the $10,774 million recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal year, showcasing the vital role of remittances in supporting the financial stability of the nation.
