26,415 students to appear HSC exams in Khulna

Over 26 thousand students are going to appear in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in Khulna district under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Jashore (BISE) this year.

According to Khulna district administration, a total of 26,415 students including 1,281 Alim and 4,983 HSC-BM will take part in the examinations at 67 centers in the city and Khulna district under the board scheduled to be held on 17 August (tomorrow).

Talking to BSS, Khulna deputy Commissioner Khondokar Yasir Arefin said, they have already completed all necessary preparations to hold the examinations successfully. This year's HSC exam will start on August 17 through Bangla first paper, he added.

"The government has asked candidates, law enforcement agencies, exam controllers and local administrations to follow the 31-point guidelines, issued by the ministry of education, during the HSC examinations," he said.

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited in the centers and only center controllers can use feature phones, a medical team will be sent in each exam center, photo copy shops in between 200 yards of the exam centres will remain closed, smooth electricity supply and adequate light will be ensured in the exam hall, according to the guidelines.

He, however, said all coaching centres will remain closed from August 14 to September 25.
